Mission Statement
The Kairos Christian Montessori team has been serving families since 2009, growing from a seed of faith into a community of 82 students from infancy through elementary. We are committed to the whole child — combining individualized Montessori instruction with daily spiritual formation, Scripture, worship, and prayer. In partnership with families, our educators nurture compassion, confidence, and a love of learning rooted in Christ.
Our Commitment to Dignity, Belonging, and Biblical Foundation
Kairos Christian Montessori is committed to educational practices rooted in the belief that every child is made in the image of God - known, loved, and worthy of dignity.
Early childhood is a formative season. The values children absorb now - about themselves, about others, about fairness and belonging - shape how they will engage with the world for the rest of their lives. We take that responsibility seriously.
We cultivate classrooms where every child is seen for their unique abilities and supported through their personal development, where differences are seen as part of God's intentional and beautiful design, and each person has what they need to flourish.
This work begins with us as adults. We are committed to ongoing reflection - examining our own assumptions and blind spots so that we can model the humility, curiosity, and love of neighbor we hope to form in every child.
Our teachers engage in continuous professional development in whole-child, culturally responsive Montessori practice, guided by our shared conviction that to educate a child well is an act of faith, service, and love.
-
Knowing who you are in Christ
Every child begins by learning their truest identity: made in the image of God, deeply known, and unconditionally loved. This is the unshakeable foundation from which everything else grows.
"I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." - Psalm 139:14
-
Seeing and honoring others
Rooted in the commandment to love our neighbor, children learn to see the dignity and beauty in every person - across differences of background, ability, and experience. Diversity is not a problem to manage; it is a reflection of God's creativity.
"Love your neighbor as yourself." - Mark 12:31
-
Developing a Heart for Justice
As children grow in wisdom, they develop the moral vision to notice when someone is being treated as less than who God made them to be. We cultivate this discernment gently and age-appropriately, grounded in a biblical understanding of fairness and human worth.
"Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression." - Isaiah 1:17
-
Doing justice, loving mercy
Micah 6:8 calls us to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly. Children practice this in small, concrete ways every day — standing up for a friend, including someone left out, speaking truth with kindness. These are not small things. They are the habits of a life lived for God and neighbor.
"Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God." - Micah 6:8
Kairos Christian Montessori: A Greenhouse for Growth
At Kairos Christian Montessori, we often describe our school as a greenhouse—a carefully prepared environment where each child is nurtured with intention, care, and purpose.
Just as a greenhouse provides the right balance of light, warmth, water, and protection, our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs of every child. Within this environment, children are free to grow at their own pace, guided by attentive teachers who observe, support, and respond to each child’s unique journey.
-
In a greenhouse, strong roots are essential. Without them, growth cannot be sustained.
At Kairos, we nurture the most important root of all—a child’s identity in Christ. Through daily rhythms of prayer, scripture, and Christ-centered guidance, children are grounded in truth, love, and purpose. This spiritual foundation anchors them, giving them stability as they grow and confidence as they step into the world.
-
Just as plants require the right nutrients to flourish, children need meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Our authentic Montessori approach provides rich academic nourishment—moving from concrete to abstract, allowing children to deeply understand concepts rather than simply memorize them. Each lesson builds independence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning.
-
A greenhouse doesn’t force growth—it supports it.
In the same way, our teachers serve as careful guides. They prepare the environment, offer lessons at the right time, and step back to allow children to develop confidence and capability. This balance fosters both independence and responsibility.
-
There comes a time when every plant leaves the greenhouse.
Our goal is that when children transition from Kairos—whether to another school or the next stage of life—they do so well-rooted and well-nourished:
• Spiritually grounded in who they are in Christ
• Academically prepared and confident
• Socially and emotionally equipped to navigate new environments
Because when a plant has strong roots and has been properly nurtured, it doesn’t just survive after transplanting—it thrives.
